The Creation

Scripture: God made all kinds of wild animals, all kinds of cattle, and all kinds of creeping

things of the earth. God created man in his image; in the image of God he created him; male

and female he created them. God looked at everything he had made, and he found it very

good. (Gen. 1:25, 27, 31)

Together: Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created, and You shall renew the face of the earth. O God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit, we may be truly wise and ever rejoice in His consolations, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

1) Who made us? God made us. 

2) Why did God make us? Purely out of love. God was not lacking anything, but He made us to show His goodness, and so we could be with Him forever in Heaven.
